Todd H. Kuethe

I am an agricultural economist specializing in farm real estate, policy, and agricultural finance.

I am an associate professor and Schrader Chair in Farmland Economics in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University, consultant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Editor of the Agricultural Finance Review, and Co-Editor of the Purdue Agricultural Economics Report (PAER).

My research uses applied statistical techniques to study farmland market conditions. Farmland accounts for over 80% of the value of farm sector assets, is the primary store of farmer wealth, and serves as an important source of collateral in agricultural lending. The goal of my research and extension program is to help policymakers, farmers, and landowners make better decisions to ensure a safer, more flexible, and more stable agricultural economy.
